Hi, I am Fon Denton.

I am a published and award winning photographer based in Raleigh, North Carolina. I have been shooting for over 40 years, from film to digital. I won my first SLR camera in a photography contest in 1976. The winning photo was taken with a Kodak Instamatic. It has been a constant journey of growth and personal fulfillment since then.

My love of horses began even before that. I love animals of every kind, but horses have always been magical. I first rode, on my grandfather's farm, when I was big enough to sit on a horse by myself. It wasn't until I was 15, that I got my first horse of my own. I am blessed now, to be able to combine two loves!

I also have always loved the outdoors, and wildlife of every kind. Spending time on the beach, in the woods, or mountains, has always been my way to clear my mind, and refresh my spirit.

I have always loved the creativity of finding the right view, the right angle, the right light, and making an image that tells a story. I know it sounds cliché, but I also love preserving memories of those special moments, whether it is a special view of a place, a wildlife encounter, or a meaningful time or moment in someone's life.
